How to identify magnesium carbonate

2023-06-05

It can't be realized without other reagents!

With other reagents:

① sample various sample numbers and prepare them as solutions.

Because barium carbonate is insoluble and magnesium carbonate is slightly soluble, it is easy to distinguish these two substances from other substances

② add a proper amount of hydrochloric acid to the "solution" of magnesium carbonate and barium carbonate to dissolve the precipitate, and then add dilute sodium hydroxide to the solution. The original material of precipitate is magnesium carbonate, and the other is barium carbonate

③ take anhydrous sodium sulfate, anhydrous sodium carbonate and anhydrous calcium chloride.

The prepared solution consists of two parts, one is diluted hydrochloric acid, the other is sodium carbonate, the other is barium hydroxide, and the other is sodium sulfate
